Joseph ben Nathan (Official, Joseph)
(fl. 13th cent)
   French writer, son of Nathan ben Joseph Official. He was born of a family who had close relations with the local nobility, and he himself was in the service of the archbishop of Sens as a financial agent. His Sepher ha-Mekanne recounts the religious arguments he and his circle had with the Christian community.
